The new marketing partner: Good morning Neuroscience!

We knew there are relation between marketing and psychology through consumer behavior, but now we can say that this has a scientific base. Neuroscience encompasses a range of disciplines, such as biochemistry and the study of nervous system, in general the biological study of brain by the way in with humans make decisions wholly within a scientific base.

It doesn’t mind that we should to change the old decision system of marketing based in intuition to an only scientific system, marketing is an issue worked by creative people and at the same time by people who understand consumer behavior and roles of conduct.

The good news is that maybe is possible to make a better predictive system than current statistics systems, but we know that the human behavior is only conditioned in part and the other part is unpredictable. The customer service process in organizations, the awareness of the brand, and of course the positioning and values of the brand are elements to re formulating according to new discoveries, not only according in our experience or market studies.

Marketing departments should have step by step new tools to make decisions, but we know the reality of each working day is too fast and sometimes we don’t analyze all information, but we should have a list of our main KPI’s in a dynamic list to introduce this new tools adapting to each business.

Marketing is a live structure in the companies, maybe the most live structure because they have the responsibility to launch new products and to see the feedback of customers and to put push in sales. Open mind to find new tools and to see changes in establishment is maybe the most important quality for marketing people.

Neuroscience is important, there are Congresses about it, and we need to stop and analyze changes in behavior of consumers if sales go down or even if go up.
